Hahn, the cosmopolitan with Saxon roots, was particularly keen to make a new start at the old automobile production sites in Zwickau and Chemnitz. Thanks to Hahn's commitment, VW became the largest investor in East Germany after reunification. He thus played a major role in the economic development of our region.
Today, at the reception of the BVMW of the Chemnitz economic region, Prof. Carl H. Hahn receives this year's award of the Federal Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises as a thank you from the Saxon entrepreneurs for his decades of commitment. Congratulations, dear Prof. Dr. Carl Hahn.
